Obey Mercy (22 of 35)
Series: Obey Everything
Steve Jones
Matthew 9:11-13

SERMON SUMMARY: This sermon addresses Jesus' command to be merciful. We obey this command by 1) Mercy Eating, 2) Mercy Medium, and 3) Mercy Love.

Mt.9:11-13 ''Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?'' On hearing this, Jesus said, ''It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.''

Now, he WASN'T a glutton, but he was CALLED a glutton. He didn't eat too much - he just ate OFTEN. You know, like voting in some parts of the country - early and often.

Let me put the Biblical data before you. As you may know, this dinner with Matthew is not the only recorded meal in which Jesus ...
