Matthew 5:13

Sermon Summary: This sermon explores what it means to be the salt of the earth. We'll talk about ''self-salt,'' ''family salt,'' ''Church salt,'' and ''Earth Salt.''

INTRODUCTION: Halo therapy (from the Greek prefix meaning ''salt'') has been dated back to the 12th century. It is the process of breathing in salt particles as a holistic way of treating numerous conditions as well as being beneficial to your overall well-being. So, we might say that we Christians are to use our influence to help PRESERVE the world (whatever that means). Of course, salt is also used for flavoring, so it is suggested that we are to add flavor to the world. Francis Schaffer says we are to add ZEST to the world. And we probably SHOULD add zest ...
