Last week we saw Noah and his family enter into the ark as we saw the windows of heaven open up and the caverns of the deep broke forth. In a matter of time the ark was lifted up from the earth and thrown about like a pinball in a pinball machine.

The ark floated above the fray, but those within that ark were safe and secure. In today's study we are going to see the waters begin to recede and the ark will come to rest on the top of a mountain. In time we see Noah sending forth two birds to gather the needed information so as to find out if the ground was dry and able to sustain life.

I - The Almighty's Remembrance (1)

Gen 8:1 KJV - And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that [was] with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged;

Noah and his family had entered into that ark when he was 600 years old; it was the second month and the seventeenth day of the month, in the year of 1656. The ark rose up above the earth and floated to and fro, while every living person and creature was being destroyed by the torrential flood. I wonder what was going through the mind of Noah and his family as the rains prevailed. Did Noah ever wonder if they were going to survive? The ark floated all over the place, but God had not abandoned his servant, he was keenly watching him.
