Hebrews 10:22-25
We live in a culture that is ever changing and ever challenging. We now as believers have experience and will experience a church culture that continues to shift, evolve, and experience cycles of seasons. And we should not be surprised at how the church has changed and will change. The world is not the same; it's bigger than what it used to be, it's more diverse than what it was years ago, it's broader in culture and behavior. Where the world was narrow and closed in many ways and understanding, it's now wider and understands things differently. The world has changed, the world of education has changed, the system of schools has changed, the students and classroom environment has changed, the workspace and the culture of the workplace has changed.
The words of George Benson resound in my ear, that smooth and silk voice of George when he sang, ''Everything must change, nothing stays the same, everyone must change, nothing stays the same.''
The young become old, mysteries unfold, cause that the way of time, nothing and no one goes unchanged. There is a great deal of truth, but it's not absolute.
God has not changed! Change can go either way: change can happen where one or something gets better or something gets worse. God cannot change if change is about better; He is already the best, He cannot get better. And some changes does not always make something better. Well that cannot happen with God because He is ultimately good. He is all good; He is a good God.
God is good all the time; all the time He is good. There is not time that He is not good. You cannot catch God in a bad moment; He does not have bad moods. He is never in a bad situation.
And therefore, the church though it lives in a changing world and it has undergone some changes, there is no permanent substitute for corporate worship.
And yet, many believers do not see the importance of regular church attendance. Members of the Northern ...
