Intro/Attention
Over the last few weeks we’ve been in a series I’ve called Rebuild: reignite, reconnect, reengage. This morning we conclude our series. Find Psalm 106 in your Bible and we will center our thinking around this subject, Reengage in Serving and Sharing.
It’s our job as a church to make disciples. And at Second, a disciple will faithfully do three things: connect, grow, and serve. You connect with God in worship, you grow in a Life Group, and you serve in ministry within the church and in mission beyond the church.
If you notice, each message in this series corresponds with one of those words. Connect – Reignite Your Passion for Worship, Grow – Reconnect With the People of God, and Serve – Reengage in Serving and Sharing. READ 1-3, 8, 47-48
Easter is next Sunday! Is anyone excited about that? I know I am, especially when I remember what Easter was like last year. Due to COVID, we weren’t even allowed to gather together for church a year ago. But this year, as we rebuild, we are able to be together once again.
*Next Sunday we will have two services, 9:00 and 10:30 AM. I need you to do me a favor. And since I’m your favorite pastor…well, at least I’m your pastor, or I’m definitely a pastor, I’m sure you’ll do this for me. If at all possible, I’m asking our regular attenders to attend the 9:00 AM service next Sunday and make the 10:30 available for our guests. We have a little extra space at 9:00 AM, we are full at 10:30 AM. Another request, please park across the street at the Youth Activities Center and save the best parking spaces for our guests. Now, I know you would never use guest parking if you’re a member or regular attender. But I’m just saying, I’ve seen some familiar faces pop out of those cars in guest parking.
