Hebrews 10:19-25
How many of you have difficulty keeping up with all your passwords and passcodes? Everything requires them, especially everything online.
Not only do you have to deal with the challenge of remembering them but in creating them. That is no small task.
Nowadays, they have to be at least 50 characters long, include capital and lowercase letters, symbols, a working algebraic equation and at least one word from ancient Latin. I spend half my time online locked out of the websites and accounts I want to access because I am constantly having to relearn algebra and learn Latin so I can reset my password!!
It's frustrating to type in every login/username and password you have every used and still see, ''invalid password'' or ''access denied.'' After a few failed attempts the computer becomes just as exasperated as you and starts acting like Aladdin's Genie, after you've used your three wishes, no more wishes for you, no more tries for you. It locks you out and then yells at you, calls you a. name and says, ''Stop trying! You are not getting in! Access Denied!''
It can be a rather traumatic experience! Does anyone else have the problem or is it just me?
While it can be a little frustrating, we understand the purpose of usernames and passwords is to deny access to those who do not have the right to know our personal information, especially our financial information. Its design is to keep people out but sometimes, because of our own forgetfulness and mistakes, we find that we are denied access as well.
In the opening pages of the Bible, we see humanity, represented by its original parents Adam and Eve, lose access to what was its most valuable and important treasure, an unhindered, undefiled and perfect relationship with God.
When they sinned, choosing to disobey God's Word and exalt themselves above God, they died spiritually.
