Psalm 84 is a Psalm of Pilgrimage, about going on a journey to the House of God to worship. Every Jewish male required to go to the Temple AT LEAST 3 times a year. It was a JOYOUS JOURNEY. They sang the refrain as they traveled:
(4) ''Blessed are they that dwell in thy house; they will be still praising thee. Selah.''
The devoted traveler understood the importance of the house of God.

They knew that worship in the house of God was where they found:

However, in order to get to the House of God in Jerusalem they had to travel through the ''valley of Baca.'' Thank God for the Mountain top experiences of life, but the truth of the matter is that we will spend most of our days in the valley. We better learn how to turn that Low Land into a High Light.
