Teacher had a glass of water and glass of whiskey. She put some earth worms in the glass of water and they had the time of their lives. She put some in the glass of whiskey and within a few minutes they were curled up dead. She asked the class, ''What lesson have we learned today?'' Little Johnny said, ''If you've got worms, drink some whiskey.''

Old blacksmith picked a young man to help him. He told the young man, ''Just do whatever I tell you to do, no questions asked.'' One day, while working, he told the young man, ''Get that hammer, and when I nod my head, hit it as hard as you can.'' The town had to find a new blacksmith.

We read of the struggles, sorrows, sins and situations of people that we might learn what to do, and what not to do.

(1 Corinthians 10:11) ''Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.''

Sadly, many Christians could be diagnosed as spiritual midgets. They have no desire to grow in grace, and thus, see no godly growth in their lives.
