God Is Taking Names

Luke 10:20; Acts 1:15; Rev.13:8
A man walked into a courthouse and demanded to see the judge. The judge asked him what he wanted. He said he wanted to get his name changed. He said he was tired of people laughing and making fun of him because of his name. The judge asked him what his name happened to be. He answered, ''My name is Leroy Stanks.'' The judge grinned and said, ''Well, son, I can't see's as I blame you. What would you like to have it changed to?'' He answered, ''I want my name changed to Pedro Stanks.''
Remember when we were in school? The teacher would leave the room for some reason. She would always appoint a student to ''take names''. They would come up and stand by the chalkboard with a piece of chalk in their hands and a power surge in their eyes. They would stare and wait for someone to breathe wrong so they could ''take names''. They acted like they were getting paid commission from the school board.
Guess what? God is taking names. He's keeping record and writing down some particular names.
1) Of the FORGIVEN!
(Luke 10:20)
The disciples came back more excited about power over Satan, serpents and scorpions than the fact of their sins forgiven, souls saved, and their names were written in Heaven.
No matter how HIGH you may ascend, or how LOW you may descend, never forget that as, a child of God, God is taking names of those who have been forgiven by His wonderful grace.
The day I got saved, God wrote my name on Heaven's roll
A new name written down in glory,
And it's mine, Oh yes, it's mine.
And the white robed angels sing the story
A sinner has come home.
There's a new name written down in glory,
And it's mind, oh yes, it's mine.
With my sins forgiven,
I am bound for Heaven.
