What Is Causing You to Run? (1 of 4)
Series: Underwater
Jeff Geyer
Jonah 1:1-17

Big Idea:
We're introduced to Jonah, a prophet who was called to speak on God's behalf and decided that wasn't for him. Jonah's decision changed his life...and not for the better. The decisions we make have consequences. Even though disobedience leads to descent, God continues to pursue us for His purposes.

Intro:
Have you ever been underwater? More specifically, have you ever been submerged or experience flooding? We'll dive into a story of a man who was underwater literally, emotionally, and spiritually. Tension:
Disobedience always starts with a choice.
The choice to text while driving, speed, lie, cheat, etc.
Sometimes we're tempted to do what we want to do.
Sometimes we justify our decision to do what we want to do.
''It was an emergency.''
''I had to or else we would have lost the contrac ...
