Big Idea:
When Moses returns, he is faced with rejection. Pharaoh, the head of the royal family and potentially Moses' adopted brother, was not just rejecting Moses but God. By Pharaoh resisting Moses' request to free his people from slavery, Pharaoh was resisting God. The actions of one led the consequences felt by many.

Intro:
There's nothing like a good story. From relatable characters to tension that pulls you in, Exodus is not only a good story but it's a true story. The first 15 chapters of Exodus tells the story of how God led His people through a dark time in their history. God gave purpose to characters, allowed characters to face rejection, required a sacrifice, and provided freedom.

Last week we kicked off the series with looking at purpose. We learned that as we walked through the first four chapters of Exodus that purpose is a process of preparation.

This week we continue the series with looking at rejection. Yes...on Valentine's Day. Now this is a tricky focus on Valentine's Day. As I was preparing the series, I really didn't give much thought about it. As I'm teaching on it, I believe it's worth diving into on Valentine's Day.

I love how our church is diverse with single, dating, and married people. All of us have faced rejection or have been rejected. All of us have had the George Strait ''Check Yes or No'' moment and yes, some of us checked the ''no'' box, while others of us received a ''no'' box. Tinder makes it so much easier to reject than giving someone a note.

Some of us have experienced rejection as a child. Perhaps it was your brother or sister that never took your advice. Maybe we were passed over for the favorite or the baby of the family. Perhaps we were cut from the team. Maybe we were the last one selected for kickball.

It comes into play in the professional arena too. All of us have faced rejection or have been rejected with the promotion, ...
