Dave Poulin is probably a name with which none of you are familiar! He is, was, a sculptor in NY. Through the years he has created over 120 commissioned public works that live in parks and outside of school districts across the globe. His works have been well-liked and appreciated, but in 2009 he became infamous for a bronze sculpture he made for the town of Celeron, NY.

It is the Western NY hometown of Lucille Ball, the famous comedienne and star of the old black and white TV show I love Lucy show. The statute was to commemorate her life and career but it was not one of his finest works. It became known as ''Scary Lucy.'' Some compared it to a zombie from the Walking Dead.

The statute was a poor reflection of the person it was intended to portray. That's the job of an artist commissioned for this purpose, to accurately capture and reflect the image of their subject.

When God, the master artist and designer, created this world, He created it in such a way that it communicates to everyone something about the One who made it.
• The Psalmist says, ''The heavens tell the glory of God; and their expanse declares the work of His hands'' (Psalm19.1-2).
• From the smallest grain of sand to the largest and brightest star, creation declares the Glory of God.
• It is a reflection of His greatness.

Out of all this vast and amazing universe the one part that bears the distinct privilege of being designated as having been created in his image and likeness is humanity, me and you.

Over the last few weeks, our thoughts and focus have centered around this truth, that we have been created in the image and likeness of God.

Let's read together, Genesis 1.26-2.3 - Then God said, ''Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness. They will rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the livestock, the whole earth, and the creatures that crawl on the earth.'' 27 So Go ...
