The Invisible War (1 of 8)
Series: Supernatural: Spiritual Warfare and the Battle for Eternity

2 Corinthians 10:3-4
This morning, I'm beginning a brand new series I'm calling Supernatural: spiritual warfare and the battle for eternity. Over the next few weeks, we'll be studying what the Bible has to say about the reality of spiritual warfare. Someone may ask, ''what is spiritual warfare?'' Here's what I mean. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 6:12 ''For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.'' (ON SCREEN) In other words, there is a battle going on that we cannot see. It's a spiritual battle. It's a battle for your soul. It's a battle for all of eternity.
*Let me say before we move on, this series is not intended to scare you, frighten you, or alarm you. This is not a fiction novel or a horror movie. This is real. The truth is, we are in an eternal battle that rages for the souls of mankind. Spiritual warfare is real!*

The Bible makes it clear that angels exist and demons exist and there is a cosmic spiritual struggle taking place even this very moment.
There is an invisible war, you need to understand that. But there's also something else you need to understand. There are two major mistakes when it comes to understanding spiritual warfare. Some people overemphasize it and some people underemphasize it.
*For some people, everything is spiritual warfare. If they stub their toe, ...
