Don't Grow Weary (5 of 5)
Series: I Love My Life

Galatians 6:7-10

Today we are talking about overcoming discouragement. Do you ever get weary along the way? Discouraged? We all do. If you don't get discouraged, you still need to take notes because tomorrow you will feel differently. We all get discouraged, we all get drained in the journey.

I'm convinced many times, we're doing the right things, but the harvest just hasn't come yet. Sometimes we're doing the wrong things, and that's another sermon. Today I want to talk to those of us who are doing good and doing the right things, but are not where we want to be. Maybe you're not where you want to be in your finances, your job, or your marriage. Maybe you're doing good, but you haven't seen the payoff yet. God has an incredible word of encouragement for you today.

I want you to grab your Bible and turn with me to the sixth chapter of the book of Galatians. Sometimes we feel like giving up. I'm convinced that discouragement is one of the greatest enemies of anybody fulfilling their destiny and reaching their dreams and goals in life. When you get discouraged, what begins to happen? Everything looks worse than it really is, right? I mean, sometimes it may be that bad, but when you get discouraged, it looks that bad, right?

We begin to see the world through this lens of deception, and everything looks so much darker than it really is. Sometimes it will just zap our productivity. I know there have been times in my life where I've been so discouraged, I didn't even want to get out of bed. I mean, I was just so worried or so consumed about whatever... You won't be nearly as productive when you're discouraged as you would if you were encouraged.

Today we need to talk about how you can be encouraged in the Word of God, because I know God has some amazing plans for each individual here today. The Bible has a powerful promise to us this morning if we will not grow weary and not give up.
