Mark 12:18-27
Take your Bibles and turn to Mark 12. Jesus gives us insight as to what is beyond the grave. I've entitled this message: 'Everyone Lives Forever'.
C.S. Lewis wrote in Mere Christianity, ''Creatures are not born with desires unless satisfaction for those desires exists. A baby feels hunger; there is such a thing as food. A duckling wants to swim; there is such a thing as water. Men feel sexual desire, there is such a thing as sex.'' Then he goes on to say, ''If I find myself a desire in which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world. If none of my earthly pleasures satisfy it, that doesn't prove that the universe is a fraud. Probably earthly pleasures were never meant to satisfy it, but only to arouse it, to suggest the real thing.''
There have always been contrarians when it comes to thinking about any type of life after death. Have you ever been reluctant to talk about heaven and hell with friends or coworkers because you knew they would resist your beliefs? If so, today might be encouraging for you. In our text, we're going to see that even Jesus knew what it was like to be laughed at by cynics and skeptics who thought His views of eternity were outrageous. Keep this in mind: Just because something is difficult to believe does not mean it's not true. Ok? So let's dive in.

Now, a delegation from the Sadducee's takes their shot in tripping Him up in order to take Him down. The Sadducees were another priestly group of Jews who were more conservative in their theology than the Pharisees, yet more liberal in their politics.
They were the ''religious aristocrats'' of Israel. They wer ...
