God was good to us last week as He spoke to our hearts and around 50 of our people responded to be a part of the prayer ministry. If we are to do and be anything of any eternal consequence (which is why Jesus saved us), it will begin and end with prayer. Don't forget; To become what Jesus died for, we need to walk together. Last week, I began by connecting the dots of God's design for us.


Prayer that leads to Worship,

Worship that leads to Evangelism,

Evangelism that leads to Discipleship,

Discipleship that leads to Fellowship,

Fellowship that leads to Ministry,

Ministry that engages God's people

and then connecting all of these

Missions comes into clear focus.


In America today, few things impact us like WORSHIP, fewer things confused us like WORSHIP. Many, if not most, have been raised in a culture where Sunday services are divided into two parts, ''The Song Service'' and the ''Preaching Service.'' In fact, through my years I have witness and been in the place where the people and preachers have said, ''Let's get the preliminaries (the singing) out of the way, so we can get to WORSHIP. There is no doubt that the 'proclamation of the word' should be the pinnacle of worship but make no mistake, worship should begin before we walk in and is an experience and not an event. Worship requires participation of all that we are, voice, mind, heart, and soul. It's not a SPECTATOR'S SPORT. God is a spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. Did you know that it is your personal prayers which prepared you to meet God in worship? Prayer leads to Worship. Today, before you came into this place did you pray for God to open your heart? It's very personal. Even corporate worship is personal. You can be in a room with worship and miss it.
