We've gotten pretty good at expressing our emotions. In fact, in today's culture, if you want to convey your feelings, all you have to do is send someone an EMOJI, and they'll know exactly how you feel.
[Examples of Emojis-Happy, Sad, In-love, Laughing, Crazy (Travis), Cool, Sick, Angry...] That's an emoji that all of us can relate to...
You may remember, all the way back in Genesis chapter 4, where God asked Cain, ''Why are you angry?'' Since that moment, people have been angry for one reason or another... and we tend to express our anger in a multitude of ways.
Some people express anger inwardly. We get stressed and depressed. We get quiet and isolate ourselves from the rest of the world. (How many of us do that?)
Others express anger outwardly. We get loud and vocal. Our faces get red and our veins pop out of our foreheads.
That reminds me of this quote: ''Don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry.'' Do you know who said that? The Incredible Hulk! Some of us can relate to him, because one moment we're totally fine and the next moment, we're green and we're raging.
Anger is an emotion that all of us experience. But let me ask you a question: What is it that makes you angry? What is it that sets you off?
I recently read an article [mindyouranger.com] that said 45% of American adults regularly lose their temper at work. Maybe it's work that sets you off.
Driving in traffic. [90% of drivers have experienced road rage]. Maybe you're the guy that rides the bumper, and flashes his lights and honks the horn when someone drives slowly in front of you...
Shopping. [1 in 3 shoppers admit to aggressive behavior while shopping]. My aggressive behavior tends to happen on the park bench outside the store while my wife is shopping. Anybody else?
Pets. People say pets are supposed to bring joy, but I feel like my pets tend ...
