Genesis1:26-2:3
If you walked into a quiet forest and stumbled upon a ball... the natural assumption would be that someone put it there. You would assume that someone had been there before. If you stumbled upon a very large ball, like a ball the size of a house, you'd assume that someone really big had to put that ball there. Suppose that ball is the size of planet Earth. Then someone REALLY big would have had to put it there! Right!?
We believe our God is REALLY Big! He's the Creator of the whole world...
Romans 1:20 says, ''Since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen.''
He's the Designer of the Universe. And as Christians, we believe if there is a design... there has to be a designer. If there's a painting, there has to be an artist. The Bible tells us that the artist is God.
Colossians 1:16 says, ''For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.''
That's what the Bible says... and yet, many people would rather cling to theories and concepts and an always-changing science instead of clinging to the truth of God's word.
We find God's creation account in the book of Genesis. It begins in verse 1 of chapter 1 by saying, ''In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.'' I think that's pretty clear. God created it all.
That word ''God'' is the Hebrew word, ''Elohim.'' It's plural for God. That tells us that GOD (the Father... the Son... the Holy Spirit) He (They) created the Heavens and the Earth.
That's why God said in Genesis 1:26, ''Let US make man in Our image.'' Who's Us? Us is all 3. God the Father. God the Son. God the Holy Spirit. That God is the Designer. And what did He do? He 'created.'
That word 'created' is a word Moses ONLY ...
