Never Been This Way Before

Some people are good at following directions and some aren't. Some people are good at giving directions and some aren't. GPS has certainly been a ''godsend'' for a lot of people. Personally, I like having that little voice telling me what to do and when to do it. Of course, I had to change my GPS voice to a male voice because he seems to give better directions. All kidding aside, when we don't know where to go or when we find ourselves in a place we've never been it's clearly important that we follow the directions of someone that has.
Put yourself in the Israelites' sandals. They had been in Egypt for 400 years and had then had been in the wilderness for another 40. They knew absolutely nothing about the land to which they were going. The pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night had led them to the banks of the Jordan river. They had kept God in sight throughout the entirety of their journey and it was important that they not lose track of Him now because they had never been that way before.
We're all looking forward to a new year. The last one was just a little stressful if you know what I mean. Like last year, I have no idea what's going to happen this year but I do know it'll be far less stressful if we'll keep our eyes on God because we've never been this way before.
