(What is Hope? If I were to ask you to fill in the blank for this question... ''Next year I Hope _______'' what would you put there? For some it is more money, or better relationships, or something new in our lives, but what if we recognized that all those things are secondary to something far better. This morning I want to challenge each of us to consider the foundation of our hope...if it IS in something that will not last it doesn't offer us much hope does it. Let's look at a Hope that will carry us for the rest of our lives PRAY

What the World Calls Hope?

''Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the Lord.'' Jeremiah 17:5 (NIV)

(So many put their hope in so many things without realizing that real hope is waiting for them. So where is your hope? Who or what do you turn to when you are losing hope?)

''Remember that at that time you were separate from Christ... without hope and without God in the world.'' Ephesians 2:12 (NIV)

(Its clear that without God, without Christ in our life there is no hope. Let's do a self-check and see if maybe we've fallen into the trap of looking for hope in all the wrong places)

The World usually puts its hope in HUMAN WISDOM
