(This morning we are going to look at how Christmas is about sharing hope. From the first Christmas till today sharing hope is the message of Christmas. This morning I want to challenge each of us to consider how we are sharing hope during this Christmas season, how people are seeing Jesus in us during a time where people are most receptive. First, lets pray then talk about Sharing Hope this Christmas.
Where is your Hope?
''Remember that at that time you were separate from Christ... without hope and without God in the world.'' Ephesians 2:12 (NIV)
(So many put their hope in so many things without realizing that real hope is waiting for them. Christmas brings us Hope? The answer to this first question might be answered when we ask ourselves who or what do we turn to when you are losing hope? It is clear that without God, without Christ in our life there is no hope. Let's do a self-check and see if maybe we've fallen into the trap of looking for hope in all the wrong places)
The World puts its hope in HUMAN WISDOM
''For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.
