''You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.'' (Over these past 7-8 weeks we have shared together a sermon series titled Unstoppable. Some of you might not have made the connection that this is more than just a sermon series but has been a way for us to re-share together, on our 20th anniversary, the Mission and Vision of Chets Creek Church. These sermons concern our 6 Core Values that we are committed to and aspire toward as a church family. These values are not just for our church corporately, but for each of us as the church individually. These are the values that I hope all of us strive for in our daily lives...I thought it would be appropriate that we conclude this series with a quick overview of our Mission and Vision and these 6 core values before we participate together as a Family in the Lord's Supper...As A reminder or maybe you are hearing this for the first time...let me restate why Chets Creek exists...
Our Mission: To know God and be changed by Him in a way that will change the world.
Our Vision: To be a church for the un-churched here and around the world
With our Mission and Vision clearly stated let's share together our Chets Core Values...
Our First Core Value: We Trust GOD'S WORD
