''The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.'' 1 Peter 4:7-10 (NIV)

(Peter starts this part of the letter with an interesting sentence... ''The end of all things is near.'' As you first read this you might think Peter was just wrong, I mean this was written over 2000 years ago and he clearly missed it, but not so fast. Peter says in his second letter that ''to God a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years like a day'' and also that the Lord is not slow in His return, but is ''patient, giving all men a chance to turn to Him in repentance''. Our Lord is not limited by time but he does have a plan through time and here it is. When Jesus spoke the words on the Cross, ''It is finished'' He entered us into the last days, the days to finalize all of God's plans, to offer man a way out, a way to salvation, time for all men to hear the good news of Jesus Christ and make a decision, Yes or No to Jesus. What Peter is telling us is this, we are living in the last days of earth as we know it, and this is how we are supposed to live...let's hear to what he is saying, but first let's PRAY



Show Hospitality through LOVE

(Peter tells us that our first assignment in these last days is to love others no matter what)

Love others by PRAYING for them.
