Don't Miss the Moment
Jerry Watts
James 4:13-14

Today, I thought we would begin a series of messages on our 6 or 7 functions or purposes of this church. As late as Wednesday evening that was my plan. However, I believe God's spirit to have shaken me a bit over night Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

As you know, one of my heroes in the faith is Michael Catt. Not long ago I listened to an OLD message of his entitled, ''Don't Miss the Moment''. It stirred my soul and touched my heart. Then the events of last Wednesday occurred which stirred my soul and broke my heart. I have my own personal take on the events in Washington and they will not become a part of this message except to say this: What happened in Washington DC last Wednesday along with what happened in city after city last year (Portland, Atlanta, Chicago, etc), REVEAL the DEPRAVITY of mankind and the need for a Spiritual awakening in our land.

Thursday morning began for me as most morning do, I was eating breakfast around 5:30, reading (this day was Leonard Ravenhill), listening to a podcast (this day it was Dr. Ted Traylor), and then meditating on God's word hoping to hear a word from Him for today.
