I want you to see how you can win your personal spiritual battles.
When I was in the sixth grade there was a boy whose name was Terry Carson. His nick name was ''Tooter.'' I don't know why he was called that and I never asked. Out of respect I will refer to him as Tooter because he was much bigger than me at that age. I don't know why - but I was his personal punching bag. I personally kept him in good physical condition because if he wasn't punching on me - he was chasing me which helped him do his road work if you know what I mean.
Over and over in my mind - I thought about what I would do to him the next time he started punching on me. But because of his size and my fear - I cooperated with him. Tooter Carson became the bully in my life.
And then one day, the most unusual thing took place. The Lord finally delivered me. It was the most cunning plan. I hesitate to tell you how I got victory over Tooter Carson. I probably just ought to be honest with you. He moved! But not before he left an impression on my mind what a bully is like.
Do you have a bully in your spiritual life? Does that bully beat you up on chase you away from get ting spiritual victory in your life? The truth is - we all face spiritual bully's in our life.
It may be a habit. An attitude. An action. It may be an emotion. What about worry - fear - anger - bitterness - resentment - a critical heart - a negative attitude. All of these are just a few of the things that stand before us as a spiritual bully that keeps us from having spiritual victory.
God intends for you to experience victory over those sins in your life. God has it in for your - His blood is sufficient to bring you victory in any area of spiritual defeat.
