God on a Mission: The Value of Each One

Galatian 4:4
It’'s Christmas - the time we carve away from our daily routines to reflect upon the greatest story that has ever been told. The story that reaches every single one of us.
This story began in the heart of God in eternity past. God created man in His own image. God gave them everything that they needed. Adam and Eve walked with God and fellowshipped with God. God gave Adam and Eve choices. There were good choices and there were wrong choices. They made a choice that was good in their own eyes but the wrong choice of God. The serpent deceived them to choose that which was good in their own eyes, but clearly was the wrong choice before God. It caused the separation between God and his beloved creation. The enemy came to twist the words of God and to mar the image of God. He deceived mankind to believe God was unjust, that He was not a good provider and that we needed something else besides God. Mankind chose his own path and was brought down roads of danger and destruction, devastation and despair. In desperation mankind would cry out to God, and God’'s boundless love and mercy would reach them with forgiveness and grace.
The problem that remained was the problem of sin. So, with Moses came the law and the commandments. Not just the 10 commandments, but 613 commandments given in the first 5 books of the Bible alone. This just made matters worse. By following the law of Moses, mankind could be in right standing with God, but now no one could keep the law. The standard was set so high as to what God required of His people. Mankind continued to fall short of God’'s perfect standards. They ...
