We have all heard the old adage ''One man's junk is another man's treasure. If you watch antiques road show, you know that is true. I think that is what makes yard sales and flea markets so popular, the opportunity to discover something that one person deems of no value, but you see value in it.

I remember it as if it were yesterday, growing up out in the country. Our family was poor, though I had no clue, actually they were poor, and they just dragged me into it. We would often go up to my grandmother's house and we would play all day. One of our favorite spots to sneak off to was her neighbor's junk pile. In those days not everyone took their garbage to the local dumb, they just had their own junk pile, where they would burn things.

The neighbor had one child and he had lots of neat toys, the reason that we knew this was simple, we would find his old toys in the junk pile. The toys would often have something slightly wrong with them, maybe a wheel that wobbled, a crack here or there, but we would pull them out of that junk pile as if they were brand new.
