THE MYSTERIOUS MULTITUDE
The Mysterious Multitude of Revelation

Revelation 7:9, 13-14
Tonight, take your Bibles and turn if you will please to Revelation chapter 7 and I want you to notice with me verse 9 and then verses 13 and 14. In Revelation chapter 7 verse 9 John the apostle says, "And after this I looked, I beheld, and lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes and palms in their hands and cried with a loud voice saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne and unto the Lamb." And then verse 13: "And one of the elders answered saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? And whence came they?" Who are these people? Where did they come from? The elder says, I've never seen a multitude just like this. "I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said unto me, These are they which came out of great tribulation," literally these are they which came out of the great tribulation. That's what the Greek scholars say that it literally says, these are they which came out of the great tribulation. "And have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."
We're going to be talking tonight about this mysterious multitude of people who somehow have gone to heaven and they have been washed whiter than snow in the blood of the Lamb. I love the book of the Revelation. I thank God for this wonderfully exciting book. You know the Bible says over here in the beginning of the book of the Revelation that we are blessed and holy to read this book. Oh, there's a great blessing if we read the book of the Revelation.
Do you know what this church exists for and what every church exists for? Three things. Number one, to exalt the Savior. Number two, to edify the saints. Number three, to evangelize the sinner. Amen. That's what we're here for: to exalt the Savio ...
