Daniel 1
I. Introduction
Welcome to Mission Hills. I'm so glad you're here for the beginning of our new message series, Thrive. For the next several weeks, we're going to be working our way through one of the most interesting books in the Bible, the book of Daniel.
Now, some of you are already pretty familiar with the book of Daniel. And some of you don't know anything about it at all. It doesn't really matter which side of that spectrum you're on...this series is going to make a difference in your life. So most of what Daniel predicted has already been fulfilled. Now, not all of it. Some of the things that Daniel predicted are still in the future even for us. Some of Daniel's prophecies relate to what we often call the End Times, which haven't taken place yet. But, in my opinion, those still-to-come predictions are the minority in Daniel. Most of his predictions have already been fulfilled.
And you might be thinking, ''well, where's the fun in that?'' What's the point of looking at a prophecy that's already been fulfilled? Here's what we have to understand: biblical proph ...
