The ''Old Faithful'' Geyser at Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming is one of the most well-known geysers in the world. It erupts about 20 times a day for an average of 1.5 minutes with water reaching as high as 140 feet.

It is called ''Old Faithful'' because scientists have been able to predict, with a 90% confidence rate and 10-minute variation, when it will erupt.

You know, many of us would probably describe ourselves in the same vein as the ''Old Faithful'' Geyser - we're faithful... we're dependable and trustworthy. Most of us believe that about ourselves, at least to some degree... But the truth is... Even OUR faithfulness has its limits.

We're faithful to give... until giving costs us too much.
We're faithful to serve... until serving becomes inconvenient.
We're faithful to forgive... until someone pushes us a little too far.
We're faithful to love... unless someone is simply unlovable.

Unlike 'Old Faithful,' -Faithfulness isn't automatic for us.

Throughout this series, we've looked at several characters in the Bible that experienced what I've been calling - Seasons of Uncertainty. And we've looked into their stories to see how they survived and how they responded while walking through difficult seasons, much like the one we're walking through today.

Seasons that you didn't see coming... Seasons where there seem to be more question marks every single day and no one really knows how things are going to turn out in the end.

We've looked at characters like Peter and Moses and Job... We talked about Paul, Gideon, Nehemiah and the boy that gave Jesus his lunch of 5 loaves of barley bread and 2 fish.

In every single one of these stories, we've seen real people living in the present... and these people didn't know what God was going to do in the future.
