Let me ask you a question. What is the craziest thing you have done for love? There are certain things that you do because you have to, but there are other things you do because of love. You will do something for love that you would not do under normal circumstances. I was thinking about this and remembered several years ago my wife wanted me to see The Notebook. It was love that led me to see The Notebook. My type of movie is action-packed, stuff exploding, special effects that are so loud you feel it in your body. The Notebook was a beating. But, after the movie, I acted as if I liked it. I was like, ''Man, that was an awesome movie. Wow! Let's go see it again!'' Not really because it was only for love.
Sometimes, it's only love that leads you to join extended family for Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. Maybe you have a brutally honest family member, and she lets you know you've gained some weight right before serving the pumpkin pie. Some family members make you wonder, ''Would I be friends with you if you weren't a family member?'' We are willing to share holidays and celebrations with some people only because of love, right?
Are there any women here today that watch UFC only because your husband or boyfriend enjoys it? Or maybe watch the NFL? You know if you're really in love you might even watch golf with your husband! That may be equivalent to me going to see The Notebook. I don't know, but there are crazy things that we do for love. What about what we do for our children because we love them? Several years ago, my little boy got to the age where he realized that having a dirty diaper was uncomfortable, but he wasn't quite at the potty-training stage. So, in discomfort, he would stick his hands down in his business, and he would take it out and wipe it all over the crib. This happened several times.
