INTRODUCTION: READ EXODUS 16:2-34
Earlier this year, a group of people from our church took a trip to Israel (the Holy Land). We spent most of our time around the Sea of Galilee and in Jerusalem. But one day, we spent the entire day in the wilderness. In the Sinai Desert. As we were driving through miles and miles of desert. I couldn't help but think of the Moses and the Israelites wandering in the wilderness. Following God to the Promised Land.

How would an Israelite have described their time in the wilderness?
- I'm starving out here. I'm so thirsty. I'm weary.
- I feel like I'm just wandering around, and I'm not really sure what God is doing.
- I'm grateful that God rescued me. He was faithful in the past, delivering me from slavery... But I'm not so sure where he is leading me right now.
- I've seen God's faithfulness in saving me... But he also made promises (Land flowing with Milk and Honey)... When will those promises come true?
- I'm out here in the wilderness with unfulfilled expectations.

The wilderness is an in-between place for the Israelites... They're no longer in slavery, but they're not in the promised land yet either. In the wilderness, their faith is tested. In the wilderness, they ask ''Can God be trusted?''

- Have you ever thought/said, ''I'm hungry for something more?''
- Have you ever felt like you're wandering aimlessly? Not sure where God is leading you?
