No Longer Guilty (1 of 9)
Series: Romans 8

Romans 8:1-4

John 8:1-11 The religious leaders brought a woman to Jesus who they had caught committing adultery. They told him that the law said she should be stoned to death. They wanted to know what he would do. If he said stone her, he would not be showing her love, but if he let her go he would not be keeping the law.

Jesus challenged them saying, ''Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.'' In Deut. 13:9 The witness to the crime was to be the one to throw the first stone. One by one the men all left and he asked her, ''Has no one condemned you?'' He said to her, ''Neither do I condemn you (:10-11).''

Jesus did not say to her, ''Go and sin no more and then I will not condemn you.'' He said, ''Neither do I condemn you'' because he forgave her sin instead of punishing her for it. We experience the same grace from God as he forgives all of our sins as well.

Those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ are free from divine judgment and eternal punishment for their sins. Our salvation from sin is by faith alone in Christ alone. In Greek the word ''no'' is the first word in the sentence. No - Gk. negative adverb of time which means no longer or no more is somethi ...
