Series: Foundation for the Future

1 John 4:7-21
Please turn to 1 John 4. I feel impressed to lead us in being on the same spiritual page, so we are in a series of Messages that I call “Foundations for the Future.’ So we begin with “Core Beliefs.”

Since the Bible is our guidebook, let’s do what Jesus did in the temptation, let’s check the book. We’ll address 3 questions from scripture. These will help us when we are asked . How do we know, show, & sow God’s love.
How do we know God love? - We look to scripture. When facing questions, our response is “I believe”, or “I think”, or “the preacher said,” or some similar. God’s word is our source.
He Declared it – In Jeremiah 31:3, God is speaking to HIS people, today through these same words, God is still speaking to HIS people. “I have loved you with an everlasting love.”
