Milt Wilcox was a Major league pitcher for 16 years (1970-1986). In his last year, at the beginning of the season on April 15th he was pitching against the Chicago White Sox. He retired the first 26 batters. With two outs in the ninth inning, he was just one man away from a perfect game - only the 11th in more than 100 years of major league baseball. But White Sox batter Jerry Hairston got a hit and Wilcox missed his place in history.

Perfection eludes us all. We get up in the morning determined not to sin, but before we know it something happens and we sin. We long for the day when we will be perfect and God has a plan that one day we will be made perfect.

WHAT WE KNOW :28 We know - are convinced that God has a divine plan for our lives. God had a plan for the life of Abraham, Moses, Joshua, David, Peter, Paul and for every individual who trusts in Christ.

All things - both the good we experience and the bad we suffer. Some people believe that God gives us what is good and Satan gives us what is bad, but the truth is God is sovereign and allows both good and bad things to happen in our lives for his purpose.

Work together - Gk. to cooperate, to work with one another. The root word means: fellow helper or worker.

Behind everything that happens God is working out his will. Everything that happens in our life, both the good and the bad, is coordinated together for the plan of God to be accomplished.
