Father, Son, and Sacrifice (1 of 2)
Series: The Big Picture
Jeff Geyer
Genesis 22:1-24; Hebrews 11:17-19
Big Idea: God will not tempt you to sin, instead He will test you to see if you're all in.
Intro: We know some Bible stories but do we really know the story of the Bible?
Many people know some of the stories of the Bible Creation (Adam and Eve) Noah and the Flood Moses and Red Sea David and Goliath Jesus' birth, death, and resurrection Peter and Judas The point of this series is for us to see the storyline of Jesus The whole Bible points to Jesus and specifically how stories in the Old Testament highlight the greater story of the Bible Imagine what would happen to our faith as we see the story of Jesus in all the pages of the Bible Christmas, which is us celebrating the birth of Jesus, is just a few weeks away Imagine how much more meaningful Christmas can be with understanding the bigger picture We'll find that several stories pointed to the bigger storyline-Jesus

Why? was the big question I saw what my friends could do and I wasn't able to It became harder to believe that they wanted to the best for me when I saw that my friends could do the things I wasn't allowed to do Less defiant and more skeptical-circumstantial trust

Not sure we can absolutely trust Him or what's in the Bible because of circumstances or experience Looking into other religions (experience with other religions)...nothing seems right For those consider themselve ...
