I. UNDERSTANDING WHAT THE NEW AGE MOIVTEMN IS:
The term ''New Age'' is a generic term used as an identifying umbrella of experiences, teachings, beliefs and self-improvement exercises which revolve around certain key beliefs.

II. UNDERSTANDING WHAT THE NEW AGE MVE ISN'T:

The New Age Movement is not-

A. Secular Humanism- Secular Humanism denies spiritual realities exalts science as the supreme achievement and light bearer of man. Secular Humanism also believes that death is final.

B. The New Age Movement is not Christianity- Even though many New Agers consider themselves born again Christians (Barbara Mary Hubbard), New Age is diametrically opposed to all New Testament doctrine.

C. The New Age is not primarily a world wide political or religious conspiracy- Even though there are those individuals and groups within New Age who are co-operative and informed, Satan is the only one who deserves credit for this movement. The New Age is a satanic conspiracy of the highest order. Therefore, our suspicions and disgust should not be directed manward, but satanward.

III. THE FIVE FOUNDATIONAL DOCTRINES OF NEW AGE BELIEFS

1. Monism- ''All is one''

Monism is the belief that all that is, is one. All is interrelated, interdependent, and interpentrating. Ultimately there is no difference between God, a person, a dog, a building or a sandwich. They are all part of one continuous reality that has no
boundaries, no ultimate divisions. Any perceived differences between separate entities - (people or objects, etc.) are only perceived and not real.

One of the New Age guise, Fritz of Capra, who is a Physicist and Philosopher, says the ultimate state of consciousness is one ''in which all boundaries and dualisms have been transcended and all individuality dissolves into universal, indifferentiated
oneness.'' (The Dark Crystal)
