The Road To Personal Resurrection

Matthew 27:51-53
Introduction: Traditionally, at this time of the year we focus on the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the incredible significance of that event to the world. This Resurrection Day, we will look at the resurrection of Jesus from more of a personal perspective. Understanding that the most important reason Jesus was resurrected was to prove the authenticity of His claims of being God and savior of the world, we must also understand another important reason for His resurrection. God raised
Jesus from the dead, as well as many other saints with Him, to prove His power to energize human life. You see, the resurrection power of God isn't just for when you die, it's for everyday life.
I.E. - Romans 8:11 - ''But if the same Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who indwells you.'' Resurrection is important for today!
** These are my people alive in the world today who need to be resurrected - even my here now! Why?
- 1) STRESSED CURE - (Exhausted culture)
- Rebellion of 70's and greed of the 80's have left us burned out and exhausted. Acute anxiety disorder
2) Satan Attacks (Job 10:10 - 1 Peter 5)
- Attacking people, marriages, children, relationship, and finances - many have been wounded and even spiritually killed.
- We can defeat Satan, but we must have God's power to do so.
3) SIN- (Romans 6:23 - sin = DEATH)
- Contact with sin and/or the world (1 John 2:15)
- Sin promises life but delivers death.
If one or more of these things are affecting you today - BE ENCOURAGED - God is able to resurrect you!
-BUT HOW DO WE GET THIS RESURRECTICN POWER?
- By following the example of Jesus.
