Eph 2:19-22 19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.(NIV)
Rom 12:5 5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.(NKJ)
Matt 12:46-50 46 While He was still talking to the multitudes, behold, His mother and brothers stood outside, seeking to speak with Him. 47 Then one said to Him, ''Look, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, seeking to speak with You.'' 48 But He answered and said to the one who told Him, ''Who is My mother and who are My brothers?'' 49 And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, ''Here are My mother and My brothers! 50 ''For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.'' (NKJ)
Introduction: We are tired of institutions God wanted the Church to be a family not an institution! God wants this new family of His to help heal the destruction that has happened due to the sinful nature of man! He wants to heal the dysfunction that has impacted out lives because of dysfunctional family relationships. Abuse Harsh criticism Over passiveness Game playing Selfishness Jealousy etc.
This church must be a family that Cares! This church must be a family that Loves and Restores This church must be a family that accepts everybody that wants to belong and meets them where they are. Believer there are ways of death that can only be changed in your life when you belong to a loving body of believers.
