Preparing for Revival
David Cawston
1 Kings 19:14-21

Introduction:

God had a plan for Elisha's life
God had already chosen him for a special task

Elisha could have blown it!

1. Elisha had a Heart after God!

There was a secret searching after God
He was not shocked when Elijah came by!
He know immediately what Elijah wanted
''So Elijah went from there and found Elisha son of Shaphat. He was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen, and he himself was driving the twelfth pair. Elijah went up to him and threw his cloak around him.

20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.
21 And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.
22 And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him. (KJV)

Your heart has to be instantly obedient for opportunities only come infrequently or sometimes only once!

Obedience develops sensitivity

Disobedience develops hardness

Disobedience develops scales over the eyes so that you can't see the truth even if it is right in front of you!
