Introduction:
It is a whole lot easier to get the people out of Egypt than it is to get Egypt out of the people.

It is a whole lot easier to get people out of sin than to get sin out of them!

Believer lead defeated lives because they are still carrying the baggage of sin with them!
Old power struggles
Old habits
Old attitudes
These things have been around for years
They have hindered your spiritual life!
Isn't it time to receive your deliverance!
Isn't it time to move on in God!
Isn't it time to cut away the past!



Steps to Deliverance!
I. Turning from the old Ways!

A. Confronting old powers!

The great PLAGUES OF EGYPT before the EXODUS struck at the heart of Egypt's religion. Their fertile land was struck with plagues; their sacred river was turned to blood; their glorious sun was darkened; and even the son of the "divine" Pharaoh was killed. The wonders that God brought against Egypt clearly demonstrated that their gods were powerless before the true and living God of Israel.

Exod 12:12
12 "On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn-- both men and animals-- and I will bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am the LORD. (NIV)

Identify them!
The god of self gratification
The god of Mammon
The god of power and control

Let God help you defeat them!
2 Cor 10:4
4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. (NIV)

What are those weapons?

Eph 6:17-18
17 Take the. . . sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying. . ."(NIV)

1. Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God!
2. Prayer!
