Possessing All That God Has!
David Cawston
Romans 8:19-23
Introduction:
The most creative act of all is the redemption of our lives and the transformation to change us into the sons of God. This process is called salvation.
Salvation has six phases to it.
1. Payment
2. Forgiveness
3. Transformation
4. Purpose
5. Empowerment
6. Completion
I continue today with the last three of these
In making us the sons of God, He has provided for us everything that we need to be transformed.
- A purpose or mission.
- Empowerment by the Holy Spirit has been given to make us adequate for this transformation.
- Completion - Overcoming the enemy
I challenge you today to seek all that God has for you promised in His Word.
The world is waiting for the revelation of the Sons of God!
1. Payment
2. Forgiveness
3. Transformation
IV. Purpose or Mission.
Our purpose and mission in this transformation process is declared for us in Matt 28:19-20
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. (NKJ)
This is the will of the Father and the purpose of the Son's coming.
2 Peter 3:9
"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." (KJV)
God has included us in His Kingdom by commissioning us to be part of His Purpose. The Salvation of the World.
In fact salvation is attained by proclamation that signifies how much God wants us to participate
Romans 10:9-11
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth co ...
