Introduction: Before you are married there is no person in your life that will ever take the place of your mother.

Proverbs 4:3
3 For I was my father's son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother. (KJV)

- No one will love unconditionally like her.
- No one can correct like her!
- No one can defend like her!
- No one can talk to your like her!
- No one can comfort you like her!
- No one will believe you like her!
- No one knows you like her!

Story:
An eight year old boy wrote an essay in school entitled ''What a Mom means to a Kid'': A Mother is a person who takes care of her kids and gets their meals, and if she's not there when you get home from school, you wouldn't know how to get your dinner and you wouldn't feel like eating anyhow.''

After you are married it is that same kind of relationship that you formulate with your wife.

Generally that is why wives and mother -in- laws have such conflict! They both are competing for the attention of their sons.

Generally that is why daughters and mothers are so close because they think alike!

Have you ever wondered why God said that ''. . . a man shall leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife.''

God did not separate daughters from their mothers but sons from their mothers.

And He replaced our mothers with our wives to teach us something about this mysterious gender that is so important to us as men!

The Old Testament is filled with great women that were the Mother's of Israel.
Sarah Mother of Isaac and Ishmael
Rebecca Mother of Jacob
Rachel Mother of Joseph
Jochebed Mother of Moses, Aaron and Miriam.
