Introduction: Are you always fearful that the things you ask for are not in accordance with His will and therefore you do not receive them? Do you continue to preserver in asking until you have received because you have the assurance that it is the will of God.

Heb 4:16 ''Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.''(NKJ) Developing that relationship comes from two things revealed in our text. Knowledge of His Word. It is important that you know His Word! M It is the link to knowing Him! John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.''(NKJ)
Nothing Substitutes the knowledge of God's Word.
It is the only way to really be sure that you are knowing the true God.
Otherwise you can only know the God of the figment of your imagination.
The Personal Revelation of Him. Knowing Jesus Christ is more than just His word It is a personal revelation of Him to your life.
I John 1:1 ''That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life-''(NKJ)
Knowing Him through the Word is not enough. It must be a personal intimate relationship with Him that comes from personal experience.
2 Cor 3:6 ''. . .for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.(NKJ)
The Word is only an introduction and definition of who He really is. We must personally become acquainted with Him.
