The day in which we live is a day in the midst of a new revolution. It is safe to say that we are all in the midst of a movement of something far greater than ourselves. Something is going on around us! I believe we are in the midst of a new revolution.

Whenever a culture becomes desperate, it creates a vacuum that leads to spiritual searching and curiosity. There comes to be a re-thinking and re-ordering of personal faiths and the condition of the corporate faith of the people of God.

Our day, we are caught in a revolution over spiritual and moral values. It is a revolution that we face in society and also in the American church.

Scripture often refers to periods of time when God's people live in the midst of special circumstances or seasons. A reading of Scripture reveals that there are seasons of apathy or renewal or callousness or spiritual vigor or apostasy.

Two processes that God has often used in the USA and around the world are what historians have called revival and spiritual awakening.

Spiritual awakening is when the community of non-believers becomes awakened to their need for a spiritual breakthrough and they come to be awakened to Christ.
