Introduction: Several years ago a mother of eight children was crossing the street in front of her house in a small town in Maryland. Things seemed far too quiet as she walked across her front yard. She carefully approached the screen door and say five of her youngest children huddled together, concentration on something. As she walked toward her children, trying to discover what could so intensely demand their attention, she could scarcely believe what she saw. Right in the middle of her den floor ... in the center of her circled children were five baby skunks. Quickly she screamed, "Run children!" Each child grabbed a skunk and ran.
