Introduction
1. Whether you are into mickey mouse or not, there is simply no debate. There is no place on planet earth like Disney world. I knew that when I visited Disney world right after it opened when I was a sophomore at Stetson university. How could a college student afford to go to Disney world? Because it only cost $3.50 to get in. My how times have changed!
2. It encompasses 43 square miles. It is the size of san Francisco and twice the size of Manhattan. It has seventy-thousand cast members making it the largest single site employer in the united states. It averages every week one million visitors. I actually believe that because I have stood behind 980,000 just for one ride!
3. But what makes Disney world so special is not how big it is and not even how beautiful it is, because, they make sure they accomplish the one single main purpose that inspired Walt Disney to build it. A recent article by an investigative reporter into what makes Disney world Disney world hit the bullseye with this statement, ''every last brick that holds up Disney world was built to inspire joy for children.'' Disney wants every ride and every attraction's experience to bring joy. I can honestly say if you go to Disney world and don't experience joy it is your own fault.
4. The problem is you can't take the joy of Disney world with you. When you leave Disney, you leave the Disney joy behind. God never intended for life to be that way. With all of its troubles, headaches and heartaches, pain and suffering, god created this beautiful universe so that his children might have joy. That is why Jesus came to say what he said and do what he did. He said himself,
''I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.''
