The Most Encouraging Verse in the Bible
Dr David Davis
Hebrews 13:5
Hebrews 13:5 - ''Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.''
THE MOST ENCOURAGING VERSE IN THE BIBLE
Hebrews 13:5 - ''I will never leave you nor forsake you.''
I feel so left out. My family would prefer me dead. My business has practically folded. The firm is not firm - and neither am I. I cannot honestly say that I have one true friend on this planet. I even held my 30.06 rifle last Monday with .the first stages of premeditated suicide in my mind.
This verse is either a bland sentence or it is God's solid gold.

3. What does forsake mean?

It should read -
''I will never, no not ever, never leave you or forsake you ... ''
It is a forever never which has no exceptions ever!
If God will never leave you, He has not now left you because never includes now. Can you accept that in your mind? In your will? In your emotions?
What about my past, you say?
Paul made it clear that God forgives the past -
Philippians 3:13-14 - ''Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.''
How can I get to the now if I can't forget the past?
''I will never, no not ever, never leave you.''
You can receive spiritual healing if you will yield your whole mind to this powerful - positive negative.
If God will never leave you, He will not leave you in the future b ...
