Theme: ''In the midst of Covid 19 we must repopulate our churches''
As we started in the book of Nehemiah, we saw the pressing need for rebuilding the walls, restoring the gates, and reviving the people, all of this came to fruition within the first ten chapters of this book, but in chapter eleven, we find an even more pressing need, that of repopulation.
The walls were rebuilt, the gates were restored, and the people had been revived, but the city of Jerusalem was literally like a ghost town. Nehemiah realized very quickly that something had to be done to fix this problem. He sent for a ''clarion call'' for repopulating the Holy City.
The church is facing this same issue during this pandemic; it is not a matter of buildings, but a matter of repopulating. Sadly, some of our former members have left the church to never return, they have showed us where their hearts were and it was not with the church or with God.
What are we to do, will we sit by and bellyache and complain or will went send out a ''clarion call'' to repopulate our churches. If those that of us are leaders will stay positive and blow the trumpet, God will raise up some people that will reach out and brings forth lost souls and hurting people, who in turn will help us to repopulate our churches.
God is not done with the church, if he were done with us; he would come back and take us out of here. I am of the opinion that we must revise our plans and revert back to God's original blueprint of ''going out into the highways and bringing them into the church.''
