I'll tell you, I love TV families. Back in the day, as a kid growing up, I loved to watch reruns of The Brady Bunch. Do we have any Brady Bunch fans here? Oh my goodness, I was crazy about that show. Two families coming together, the blended family kind of thing. I also liked Leave it to Beaver, that old 1950s sitcom. Are you kidding me? That's great stuff. Ward Cleaver, June. June always had perfect hair. She always had an apron on. She always had fresh cookies in the oven. There was a white picket fence around the house. It was an awesome thing.
My favorite episode of ''Leave it to Beaver'' is when Beaver fell into the big bowl of soup on the billboard. I don't know if you remember that, but it was some classic stuff. There was also an episode where Beaver was being made fun of for having freckles, so he was determined to get rid of them. He put special cream on his face to alleviate the freckles. Unfortunately, it didn't work for him.
Then, a little later, there were a couple of other TV families that are pretty classic: The Addams Family and The Munsters. That was really good stuff, right there. The Munsters. Their whole family was set up around the dad, who was Frankenstein, and the mom was Dracula, and the boy was a werewolf. Do you guys remember that? They had all these crazy, freaky pets running around. Then there was The Addams Family, which was the competitor on the other network. It was just as messed up, all the crazy people. They had that one character called Thing. He was a hand. That's it. A hand, just this random hand. He would play chess, he would pour tea, he would hand people the mail, he would do all kinds of fun stuff around the house. So, The Munsters and The Addams Family.
In more recent times we've seen families like the Kardashians on television. Whoa, you want to talk about a lot of drama. It may be the embodiment of dysfunction. There's also This Is Us. Anyb ...
